Toxins We Are Exposed To

Detox, Detox, we keep hearing about this all the time. So you ask, “Why do I need to detox?”, “Where do all these ‘toxins’ come from?”, and “Why are they so bad for me, I’m so healthy”. So, we have taken the time to answer all these questions below.

“Why do I need to detox?”
Do you get an oil change for your car every 3,000 miles? Does your car run better afterwards? More smooth? Do you feel that this is a preventive measure to keep your car ‘healthy’ for the next few years? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then just apply these thoughts and intentions to your own personal body….take care of it and clean it out and replenish it every so often (we recommend 2x/year) and your body will run better, more smooth and break down less frequently.

“Why are these toxins so bad for me?”
Each person’s body (genetics) are different and because we live in different environments, various toxins will affect all of us differently. Whereas some will be sensitive to dust, others may be sensitive to pollen. Some may be sensitive to wheat whereas others cannot tolerate soy. It’s almost that simple. However, when we dig a little deeper into one’s health, we often find those with these sensitivities often have ‘weakened’ liver, kidneys, digestive tracts, or any combination of these due to certain toxins. If one is thinking about becoming pregnant, one should consider working to clear these toxins already in the body in order protect the unborn child from potentially severe nerve and brain damage, sight and hearing loss and even birth defects.. If one is pregnant, one should work to clear the toxins in order to avoid passing them to their child, don’t fret, there are things to be done to safely clear them.

The reason toxins are bad is that they accumulate in the body and are eventually stored in the BRAIN, LIVER, and KIDNEYS but also in FAT CELLS (creating cellulite) and leading to weakened lymphatic systems and hence weakened immune systems. It’s often a question of how much toxicity is currently ‘in’ the body and how much the body is then confronted with additional toxins, stress, and poor quality food at any given time. Each person will has their own threshold for toxicity storage in their body before they begin to experience ill side effects (e.g headaches, fatigue, weight gain). This is why we recommend that everyone take preventative measures to protecting your health by detoxing several times a year.
