Toxins
in the body are a burden which slows down and interferes
with bodily functions. Most common are heavy metal toxicity
and chemical toxicity from pesticides (sprayed on your food),
commonly used skin and hair care products, deodorant, antacids,
metals in the teeth, medications and imitation or inadequate
nutritional supplements!! These toxins are stored in fat
cells and affect the efficiency in which the liver, kidneys
and intestines work. Detoxification was a normal routine
in daily life in many cultures but now we live with toxic
materials in our bodies. These must be cleared from our
body to achieve optimal health. Doing a 'detox program'
is recommended every 6 months or at minimum once per year
for the body to function better. Some programs include just
drinking juices, some require fasting. We recommend a 'healthy'
detoxification program which takes about 3 weeks. It includes
a high quality rice based protein shake to replace meats
in the diet along with key detoxification nutrients.
